Field Medic

Welcome to Field Medic training!

This course is intended to give all individuals the common skills, and abilities that will mirror that of the most decorated Corps of all military services, the Navy Hospital Corpsmen. Members will be well trained on the clinical, tactical, and non-tactical aspects of Navy medicine; from “care under fire” to the treatment facility and prolonged care. Furthermore, the training will involve hands-on training with clinical microbiology.

Physical fitness, is an EXTREMELY IMPORTANT part of this training and will be conducted at least once a day. Cadets will also receive training in hand-to-hand combat. In order to graduate from this course, cadets will be required to pass both a final written and practical exam. Most importantly, “it pays to be a winner.”

A PT test will be administered upon reporting. Cadets who DO NOT pass the minimum PT standards will not be checked-in and sent home with NO REFUND. Cadets require GOOD QUALITY RUNNING SHOES! NO orthopedic issues within 6 months. Cadets with serious allergies to plants, trees or insects MUST be prepared as this training is conducted mostly outdoors in a heavily wooded area with heavy pollen and insect counts.
